  8.        1.  _I_n_t_r_o_d_u_c_t_i_o_n

  10.        The X Window System is a device-independent, network-
  11.        transparent window system developed at MIT.  It runs on a
  12.        wide range of computing and graphics systems. The X window
  13.        server mediates all access to the graphics display and
  14.        allows it to be shared by both 2D and 3D applications.

  16.        Note:  Packaged with your software is a separate sheet that
  17.               contains the Software License Agreement.  This
  18.               software is provided to you solely under the terms
  19.               and conditions of the Software License Agreement.

  52.        (the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s subsystem), you can view the release notes on
  53.        your screen.

  55.        If you have a graphics system, select ``Release Notes'' from
  56.        the Help submenu of the Toolchest. This displays the
  57.        _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) graphical browser for the online release notes.
